7-Day Northern Morocco Tour from Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco. Your driver will meet you at Mohammed V International Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Casablanca. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short orientation drive through the city or relax at your accommodation after your journey. If your flight arrives early, an optional visit to the Corniche or central Casablanca can be arranged. Overnight accommodation is provided in Casablanca.

After breakfast, begin your exploration of Casablanca with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. Continue along the Atlantic coastline and through some of Casablanca’s central districts before leaving for Rabat. In Rabat, visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Walk through its white-and-blue streets and enjoy views over the Bou Regreg River and the Atlantic Ocean. After lunch, continue toward Meknes, one of Morocco’s historic imperial cities. Arrive in Meknes in the late afternoon and check into your hotel or riad. Depending on the arrival time, you may take a short evening walk through the medina. Overnight accommodation is provided in Meknes.

Begin the day with a guided exploration of Meknes. Visit the monumental Bab Mansour gate, El Hedim Square and selected historic areas of the imperial city. Continue to Volubilis, where you can walk among the remains of Roman houses, arches, columns and mosaics. The archaeological site stands near the foothills of Jebel Zerhoun and provides an important view into Morocco’s ancient history. After visiting Volubilis, stop in Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, a historic hillside town overlooking the surrounding countryside. Continue to Fes in the afternoon and check into your riad or hotel. Meet your local guide after breakfast and begin a full-day exploration of Fes, Morocco’s historic cultural and spiritual center. Start with panoramic viewpoints over the medina before visiting the Royal Palace gates and the Mellah, the city’s historic Jewish quarter. Continue on foot into Fes el-Bali, where narrow streets connect traditional markets, workshops, fountains, mosques and madrasas. Depending on opening conditions, the visit may include Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Square, traditional artisan workshops and a viewpoint over the Chouara tanneries. Your guide will explain the history of the medina and introduce you to its traditional crafts and architectural heritage. Return to your accommodation at the end of the guided tour. After breakfast, leave Fes and travel north through changing countryside toward the Rif Mountains. Arrive in Chefchaouen, known for its blue-painted houses, peaceful lanes and mountain setting. After checking into your riad, explore the old medina, Outa El Hammam Square and the streets surrounding the kasbah. Walk uphill toward Ras El Maa or another viewpoint when time and weather allow. The rest of the afternoon is free for photography, shopping and discovering the medina at your own pace. Overnight accommodation is provided in Chefchaouen.

Enjoy a relaxed morning in Chefchaouen before departing toward Tangier. Depending on the selected schedule, a short stop can be arranged near Tetouan or at a panoramic viewpoint along the northern route. After arriving in Tangier, explore the old medina, the kasbah and some of the city’s historic streets and coastal viewpoints. Continue toward Cape Spartel, where the Atlantic and Mediterranean regions meet, and visit the surrounding coastline. A stop near the Caves of Hercules may also be included depending on opening times and your preferences. Return to Tangier for the evening. Overnight accommodation is provided in Tangier.

After breakfast, leave Tangier and begin the return journey toward Casablanca. When the schedule allows, stop in Asilah, a peaceful coastal town known for its white medina, painted walls and Atlantic setting. Enjoy a short walk through the old town before continuing south. Arrive in Casablanca in the afternoon or evening. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel, Mohammed V International Airport or another agreed location. The exact schedule on the final day will be adapted to your flight departure time.
