Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Leave Marrakech and cross the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah before continuing through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses to the spectacular Dades Valley for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Sahara Desert
Explore Todra Gorge before travelling through palm oases and desert towns to Merzouga. Ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset and spend the night in a traditional Sahara Desert camp with dinner and Berber music.
Day 3: Explore the Merzouga Desert
After sunrise and breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring the Sahara Desert. Visit Khamlia Village to experience traditional Gnawa music, meet local nomadic families, discover the abandoned M’Fis mines, and relax in a peaceful desert oasis before spending the night in a hotel in Merzouga.
Day 4: Merzouga – Alnif – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Leave the Sahara behind and travel through Alnif and the spectacular Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest palm oasis. Pass ancient kasbahs and traditional Berber villages before arriving in Ouarzazate for the night.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast, enjoy one final stop at Ait Ben Haddou if desired before crossing the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech, where your unforgettable desert adventure comes to an end.
